Alkaline Foods…Your Diet’s Missing Link

Diets suck!  But if you’re dealing with inflammation and certain chroinc diseases, you may want to reaseach alkaline foods and talk to your doctor about adding them to your diet.  I’m not a doctor and I’m just sharing what has helped me so talk to your doctor before changing your diet.

Ok, I’m sure you’ve heard about alkaline or an alkaline diet but what exactly is it?  Dr. Axe’s website states that a 2012 review published in the Journal of Environmental Health found that balancing your body’s pH through an alkaline diet can be helpful in reducing morbidity and mortality from numerous chronic diseases and ailments — such as hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, vitamin D deficiency, and low bone density, just to name a few.  I know you may have heard of macronutrients (protein, fats, and carbohydrates) but we are living in a micronutrient deficient age.  We are literally missing vital nutrients and it’s causing all kinds of issues, inflammation being at the top of the list.  Ok, what the heck are some of these foods?  So, brace yourself but here they are: (taken from this website)
